Bodegas Berroja was founded in 2001 by Jose Angel Carrero. Berroia is an estate bottled wine produced in Chacoli de Bizcaia, an appellation in the Basque region of Spain. Work on the vineyards began in 1995 by clearing the existing forests and preparing the land for planting vines. The 37 acres of vineyards are ideally situated on a steep 12% slope.
